As of November 19, 2013 students can upload PowerPoint documents into Turnitin course assignments. The files will be converted to PDF but can submitted to the Originality Report and marked up with the GradeMark and PeerMark tools.
Students can upload either .ppt or .pptx files and the upload procedure is the same as for other file types. This option now allow instructors top evaluate presentations within the Turnitin environment. PowerPoint presentations can also be the basis of student peer review assignments.
