Convert Non-Penn State Turnitin Account to Penn State Login

If you already have a non-Penn State Turnitin Account but you didn’t use your Penn State Access Account to create your Turnitin User ID, you will need to modify your User Profile so you can use the new Penn State login.

  1. Go to http://www.turnitin.com.
  2. Log in to your account using your existing User ID and password.
  3. Click the tab at the top of the screen labeled User Info.
  4. In the text box labeled user name enter your Penn State e-mail address (e.g. xyz123@psu.edu). This needs to be the same User ID that you use to log in to Penn State’s Web Access system.
    Note: You cannot use an Penn State alias such as “jtkirk@psu.edu.”
  5. Click the submit button to save the change.
    Note: You do NOT need to enter a new password.

You should now be able to log in to Turnitin and access your existing classes and assignments by going to http://turnitin.psu.edu and entering your Access Account ID and password.
